Description
Blend Caapi & Cat’s Claw paste| 50% Banisteriopsis caapi & 50% Uncaria tomentosa | 30:1 Extract
This superb paste blend is made from natural spring water and freshly harvested B. caapi and Uncaria Tomentosa. We use fresh vines, bark and leaves as opposed to dried so that ethereal oils do not get lost in the drying process of these plants. Together with our long-time supplier, who is also a well-known healer from the amazon, we prepare the Caapi & Cat’s Claw paste in stainless steel pots. We simmer the vines and branches for many hours with plenty of filtering steps along the way to ensure a clean product. We then slowly evaporate the liquid on low heat until it becomes our very own Caapi & Cat’s Claw paste. We call this concentrate the ‘pure gold’ of both plants. This Caapi & Cat’s Claw paste is water soluble.
For every kilo of Caapi & Cat’s Claw paste, we use 30 kg of B. caapi and Uncaria Tomentosa.

Master Plant Teacher Blend
Amazonian tribes regard Banisteriopsis caapi as a ‘plant of the gods’. Known as a Master ‘Plant Teacher’, this giant woody vine grows in the lush Amazon rainforest of Perú, Ecuador, Colombia and Brazil, with extraordinary properties that have drawn worldwide attention. It is the main ingredient of the ritual medicine known as Ayahuasca; it belongs to the Malpighiaceae family and has been traditionally used by countless South American indigenous people inhabiting the Amazon for thousands of years. Known most commonly for its healing power, this vine is richly steeped in cultural mythology and tradition. Although it is highly regarded internationally, it is still considered to be a legendary plant, arguably one of the most fascinating and culturally rich plants on earth.
Cat’s claw (Uncaria tomentosa) is a large, woody vine that derives its name from its thorns that grow along the vine and resemble the claws of a cat. Two closely related species of Uncaria are well-known in the rainforests: U. tomentosa and U. guianensis. Both South American Uncaria species are used by the indigenous peoples of the Amazon rainforest in very similar ways and have long histories of use. Cat’s claw (U. tomentosa) is sacred and powerful for the Aguaruna, Asháninka, Cashibo, Conibo, and Shipibo tribes of Perú for at least 2,000 years.
