Description
Blend Caapi & Guayusa paste | 50% B. caapi 50% I. guayusa | 30:1 Extract
We make this Caapi & Guayusa paste with clean water and freshly harvested Banisteriopsis caapi and Ilex guayusa. For every kilogram of caapi Mono paste, we use 30 kg of fresh Banisteriopsis caapi and Ilex guayusa. By using freshly harvested plants, we preserve many of the ethereal oils and properties that otherwise get lost in the drying process. We slow boil the plants for many hours with plenty of filtering steps along the way. We finally simmer the liquid until it becomes our very own Caapi & Guayusa paste. This is the pure gold of the plants! This paste is water soluble.
We have many other b. caapi blend pastes with: Chuchuhuasi, Cat’s claw and Bobinsana.
Master Plant Teacher Blend
Many tribes regard Banisteriopsis caapi as a plant of the gods. Known as a Master Plant Teacher, this giant woody vine grows in the lush Amazon rainforest of Peru, Ecuador, Colombia and Brazil, with many curious characteristics and properties that have drawn worldwide attention. It belongs to the Malpighiaceae family and has been traditionally used by countless South American tribes inhibiting the Amazon for thousands of years. Known most commonly for its healing power, this vine is richly steeped in cultural mythology and tradition. Although it is revered internationally, it is still a very mysterious plant; arguably one of the most fascinating and culturally rich plants on earth.
The other medicinal plant used for this blend is Guayusa. Traditionally, Guayusa is brewed into a tea every day at sunrise as a stimulant. Family members then get together to share their night dreams. It also gives them strength and protection for their daily chores in the forest.
Chemically speaking, I. guayusa contains xanthines such as caffeine, theobromine and L-theanine. Theobromine is found in the cacao bean and L-theanine is found in green tea and has a reputation to give a relaxed state of mind. It also contains 15 essential amino acids and has over 300 antioxidants.
