Our Red Indo Kratom is a strain of Mitragyna speciosa from Indonesia. It is one of the most popular strains which is reported to bring relaxation and a sense of calmness. Contrary to our green and white strains, which reportedly act more like stimulants.
Red Indo Kratom is the same plant as green kratom, but the veins turn red during fermentation. The fermentation has a big influence on the chemical composition of the leaves and can entirely change its effects.

Native Use
In Indonesia, locals consume the kratom as a whole, fresh leaves. They pick the large leaves from the tree and chew on it for a period of time in order to get an energized focus and anxiety relief. Leaves are fermented to change the chemical composition, color, and character of the plant.
Traditionally, it is known that red Indo kratom can have soothing effects in larger doses, more so than green or yellow strains. It is said that it can help people who have a hard time getting to a relaxed state before bed.
Natural Habitat
Mitragyna speciosa originally grows in the rainforest of Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia. The species thrives in high temperatures and humidity. This tropical tree or shrub often grows to a height of only 3 to 4 meters, although it will sometimes grow as tall as 12 to 16 meters. The soil must be moist and humus-rich for it to grow well. Kratom cultivation is possible as long as the conditions are right. It is therefore difficult to grow kratom in temperate or drier climates.
Scientific information
The major active compounds present in Kratom are mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine (7-HMG). Much research is being done into the energizing and pain-relieving effects of this plant. It is often said that in high doses subjects of research report opioid-like activity. Also, the potential for physical and mental dependency is currently being studied.
